When a piece is inspired directly by a book—whether through characters, locations, quotes, or other elements of the story—we make sure it is officially licensed by the author. It’s a way of creating that respects the work behind it, and ensures the people who brought these stories to life are part of what we do.

Supporting Authors

All designs that use an author’s intellectual property are created under licence. This means we have permission to interpret and reimagine these elements into something wearable, while staying true to the original work. It allows us to create thoughtfully, without taking from the stories we’re inspired by.

With every licensed piece, the author receives a royalty from each purchase. Your support goes beyond the product itself—it directly supports the writer and their work. It’s a simple but important way of giving back to the stories and storytellers we love.

We design everything in-house, carefully balancing our own creative style with the world of the book. Some pieces are subtle, others more expressive, but all are created with intention and respect for the source material.

Not every design requires licensing. Some pieces are inspired more loosely by reading, storytelling, or the feeling of being a reader. But whenever a design draws from a specific book or its identifiable elements, licensing is always part of the process.
